Post Jam Update


After hearing feedback about the controls not being fair. In this update I focus primarily on overhauling the controls by making them clearer. It's possible that this feature is not good too, it's entirely experimental right now. I also have included necessities like options, gamepad support, main menu and an intro to the game. I consider all of these still work in progress, but they work somewhat now. I may change any of the features within a day if I see something off.

All of the major changes:

Gameplay:

  • Completely changed the walkable floors to make more sense to player what is dangerous
  • Gamepad support
  • Instead of a random direction where player moves on dangerous floors, it is now clear where the player moves before it happens
  • Score pickups throughout levels
  • Movement speed slightly increased
  • Added manual sideways movement
  • Added an intro where it is explained briefly what is happening in the game world
  • Manual jumping completely removed from the game
  • Behavior of all of the dangerous floors changed

Audio:

  • Improved many of the sounds in the game to sound more pleasant 
  • Included an atmospheric music track

User Interface:

  • A main menu is now in the game
  • Options menu with sound options and hotkey informations. Also the ability to modify hotkeys.
  • In-game user interface shows directly what keys are working and when they are not working.

Bug fixes:

  • If you manually jumped to one of the dangerous floors, you would never enter auto-jumping.
